HMD announced Nokia 2, an affordable phone with 4000 mAh battery !

HMD is taking a very big step to launch a budget segment smartphone that is going to dominate the entry level market.

Nokia 2 is an entry Android smartphone that offers a 5-inch HD 720p IPS display with 1280×720 pixels and Gorilla Corning 3 protection. The device is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 212 quad-core processor paired with 1GB RAM and 8GB ROM which is expandable via microSD slot up to 128GB.

The device equips with an 8MP primary camera and 5MP selfie camera. Nokia provides unlimited photo and video uploads to Google Photos (as long as your photo is under 16MP).

Nokia 2 come with two big aspects: Build quality and performance. The entry level smartphone comes with metal frame which is crafted from single block of aluminium like how flagship device’s frame. The back panel is a plastic while Nokia calls it “sculpted polycarbonate”.

Another higlight of the Nokia 2 falls on its 4100 mAh large capacity battery. The device claimed to be able to get 2 days of battery life with a single charge.

Nokia 2 will run Android 7.1.1 Nougat Stock OS that will come with built-in Google Assistant. Nokia will receive Android Oreo update after Nokia said the device is Android Oreo ready

Other important features of Nokia 2 are Cat 4 LTE, 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.1, 3.5mm headphone jack, & microUSB port.

The device is priced at EUR99 (RM487). The device will come in two colours — Pewter/Black and Pewter/White. We are yet to know when the device will reach our shore.
