Apple wants customers to expect color and hue shifting on iPhone X

Apple wants customers to expect color and hue shifting by publishing a whole support page on its website about the panel. The company also suggests various ways to prolong the life of the display.

Apple said you might notice slight color and hue shifting if you look at an OLED display off-angle. When the same high contrast image is continuously displayed for prolonged periods of time, the display will show a faint remnant of an image even after a new image appears on the screen.

The OLED displays can show slight visual changes with extended long-term use. This is normal behavior of OLED. Apple claimed that it engineered the best Super Retina display in the industry in reducing the effects of OLED “burn-in.”
