Xiaomi Mi 6 is officially launched in China featuring dual camera, priced from CNY2499

The long-awaited Xiaomi Mi 6 is finally launched in China as the mark of Xiaomi in the industry for 7 years.

The Xiaomi Mi 6 sports a 5.15 inches eye-protection display with 2.5D curved glass, official claims that it has lower blue light and can be adjusted up to 1nit brightness in lowest LEVEL (78% lesser than competitors).

Its exterior body is presented with four-sided 3D glass that makes the Mi 6 looks premium and classy. The stainless steel- made frame offers high-gloss outline.

As the first device using 10nm Snapdragon 835 clocked at 2.5 GHz in China with 3350mAh cell capacity and MIUI optimization, it claimed to be enough for one day usage as it is 25% more energy-efficient than its predecessor.

With the similar optical zoom function on iPhone 7 Plus, Mi 6 features a dual 12 megapixel camera (12 megapixel wide lens + 12 megapixel telephoto lens) on the rear along with the revamped 4-axis optical-image-stabilizer (OIS) that is first seen on the Mi 5. Dual camera come in a few modes which can create exceptional portrait photography with background blur and beautify selfie.

While the earphone jack is missing, it is said to prevent water splash with the sim slot cover and buttons tighten up. Unlike the ultrasonic fingerprint scanner on Mi 5s, Mi 6 use the capacitive fingerprint scanner on the front panel. Other features on the Mi 6 are NFC, dual speaker, 2X2 wifi receiver and Type-C port with Fast Charge 3.0.

Xiaomi Mi 6 is available in three colour options with two variant: 6GB RAM + 64GB ROM priced at CNY2499 (~RM1599), 6GB RAM + 128GB ROM priced at CNY2899 (~RM1855), while the ceramic version will be retailed at the price of CNY2999 (~RM1919).

With the device running in Android 7.1.1 Nougat and MIUI 8 out of the box, it is set to go on sale at 10am on April 28 in China.
