Xiaomi first 360 camera MIJIA Panoramic Camera

Xiaomi always try to expand their products into developing a wider range of consumer electronics. Now, Xiaomi has released their first 360 camera — MIJIA Panoramic Camera as the VR and 360 content has slowly become popular this year.

MIJIA Panoramic Camera can capture 3.5K resolution videos and 23.8MP photos as it has two 16MP fisheye lenses which is Sony’s IMX206 sensors with a f/2.0 aperture.

The camera is powered by an Ambarella A12 ISP (Image Signal Processor) and it is able to record 360-degree videos in 3456 × 1728 pixel resolution at 30fps or 2304 × 1152 resolution in 60fps.

The camera also support 6-axis EIS (Electronic Image Stabilisation) sytem to ensure smooth video recording under extreme sport condition.

The camera is water and dust resistance which has IP67 rating. It is higher than Samsung Gear 360’s IP53 rating. Since it has a large 1,600mAh battery, you are able to use it to shoot 200 panorama photos or 75 minutes of HD videos with WiFi enabled on a single charge. This panoramic camera also supports Quick Charge 2.0 via microUSB.

It also support Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 4.0 connectivity, microSD card (up to 128GB), and Quick Charge 2.0 via MicroUSB2.0. Weighing in at 108g and dimensions is 78 x 67.4 x 24mm. In China, the MIJIA Panoramic camera is priced at CNY1,699. (~ RM1,092)
