Waze shares road congestion Forecast during balik kampung season

With the festive season approaching, people are making plans to go back to their hometowns. Waze will be sharing their predictive data for five days before and during Hari Raya Aidilfitri to help their users check on traffic information and make plans to return to their hometowns.

Waze collects and makes predictions based on the data collected during the festive season last year – and also to bring it together with the movement of traffic data for the four weeks before and after Hari Raya in the year 2016. From what is gathered, Waze predicts the highest number of road users will be heading to Kota Bharu and Kuala Terengganu, followed by Kinta Valley, Central Melaka and Batu Pahat.

Of course this is merely a preliminary forecast. Waze also encourages users to use their Planned Drives feature which allows the user to enter the time to a destination and Waze will suggest the time and day you need to start your journey.
