Sony unveiled Sony Xperia XZ1, Xperia XZ1 Compact at IFA 2017

Sony Xperia XZ1 has a 5.2-inch full HDR display, while the smaller Xperia XZ1 Compact has a 4.6-inch HD screen. They both use the same processor Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 835, paired with 4GB RAM and same battery capacity at 2,700mAh. The XZ1 has 64GB of internal storage, while the XZ1 Compact has 32GB. They also support microSD card storage expansion. Both devices feature Gorilla Glass 5 and rated IP68 for water resistance. Sony said they will be launching these phones with the latest Android 8.0 Oreo.

The XZ1 and XZ1 come with a 19-megapixel MotionEye rear camera which included 4K video capture and super slow motion 960fps video recording. Around front, both phones come with wide angle cameras for selfie.

Sony Xperia XZ1 and Xperia XZ1 Compact are priced at $699 (Around RM2985) and $599 (Around RM2558). Alongside with the launch of XZ1 series, Sony also unveiled Xperia XA1 Plus which is powered by Mediatek Helio P20 with a 5.5-inch FHD display and 23MP rear camera for $379.99 (Around RM1622). There is no news for release date in Malaysia yet. Stay tuned while we find out more.
