Samsung unveiled the world’s first 33.8 feet 4K screen cinema LED display

Samsung has unveiled an epic 33.8 feet Cinema LED Screen. It runs at full 4K (4,096 x 2,160) resolution, offers peak brightness at 146 fL which is 10 times higher than conventional cinema projection.

The world’s first installed version is in the Lotte Cinema World Tower movie theater in South Korea. Lotte Cinema named it as ‘SUPER S’ theater. They also have plans to sell it to other chains worldwide. Samsung also worked with JBL by HARMAN on the sound tech and integrated it into the ‘SUPER S’ theater to deliver a surround-sound experience with its proprietary technology.

Samsung said it works well for corporate events, sports viewing and gaming competitions. The Cinema LED Screen is the first product to achieve full compliance with Digital Cinema Initiatives (DCI) theater technology standards, meaning it can showcase films in theaters with unaltered color spectrum accuracy.
