Samsung Galaxy A3 and A5 price revealed at RM899 & RM1,199

We were informed that Samsung Malaysia is going to release Galaxy A3 and Galaxy A5 in the local market tomorrow. Based on the information we acquired, the Galaxy A3 will be retailed at RM899 while the higher specs Galaxy A5’s RRP will be fixed at RM1,199.

The Galaxy A series smartphones will be sporting a metallic looking unibody design that shared the same design pattern as the Galaxy Alpha. It makes the new Samsung A series devices looks sleek and premium in hand regardless of them being classified as second level tier smartphone.

Based on the specs, the Galaxy A3 and Galaxy A5 are both using 1.2GHz Quad-Core Snapdragon 410 processor and comes with 4G LTE connectivity.

The Galaxy A3 is equipped with a 4.5 inch qHD Super AMOLED display that is marked with 1.5 GB of RAM and 16 GB internal storage that is microSD expandable. There’s a 8 megapixel main camera on the back and 5 megapixel front snapper. The battery capacity is rather low at just 1,900 mAh.

The higher specs Galaxy A5 is powered by a 5 inch 720p Super AMOLED display that packed with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of on board storage that supports microSD expansion too. We also noticed there’s a better resolution rear camera that is a 13 megapixel unit and bundled with 5 megapixel front facing camera along with a 2,300 mAh capacity battery.

Both this devices are light in weight and measures less than 7 mm thickness only.

On the meantime, Samsung has already announced Galaxy E5 and E7 in India, so we are expecting Samsung Malaysia to bring in this E series to the local market soon as it would be a good choice for consumers who are looking for affordable Samsung smartphone.
