Qualcomm pens $12 Billion Deal With Xiaomi, Vivo, and OPPO

Just recently, Qualcomm has agreed with Chinese smartphone makers – Xiaomi, Vivo, and OPPO on a deal reported to be worth $12 billion that will see the San Diego-based chip maker sell components to the three companies over a span of three years.

Qualcomm is said to earn more than half its revenue from China. Less than a week ago, we have been brought to the attention from numerous rumors that Qualcomm has a possibility to be acquired by its rival, Broadcom for $130 billion.

Two years ago, Broadcom was acquired by Avago for over $36 billion and Qualcomm has been in talks to acquire NXP semi-conductors.
