Qualcomm launched its mid-range mobile processor Snapdragon 630 and 660

Today, Qualcomm launched its mid-range mobile processor Snapdragon 630 and Snapdragon 660, to replace the previous S625 and S653.

Processing
First time in the series into the Kryo architecture mobile processor, S660 has a 20 percent CPU speed improvement over its predecessor, while the S630’s CPU is 10 percent faster. Both new processors feature Samsung’s 14nm FinFET process has more power, more features, faster connectivity, and more battery life.

Charging
Both also supports Qualcomm Quick Charge 4. Qualcomm claims it is 20% faster charging and 30% higher efficiency than the previous generation Quick Charge 3.

Imaging
The processors can support cameras up to 24 mega pixels, provide better auto-focus and zoom and able to capture of high-definition 4K videos at 30 frames per second and 1080p videos at 120 frames per second. You can also watch 4K videos on a 4K television through a display port using the S660 chipset.

Connectivity
The processors feature the X12 LTE modem, Bluetooth 5 and 2×2 MU-MIMO 802.11ac Wi-Fi which provide greater brick and concrete wall penetration.
