Microsoft launches Surface Book and Surface Pro 4 today
Microsoft has made an official introduction of two new Surface devices namely Surface Book and Surface Pro 4. The former is the immediate contender of the MacBook Pro, while the Surface Pro 4 is up to compete with iPad Pro and Chromebook Pixel.
The Surface Book is a slim notebook that packed with great features inside. It adopts a 13.5-inch PixelSense 3:2 aspect ratio display with the resolution of 3,000 x 2,000 pixels.
It is powered by the 6th generation Intel Core i5/i7 processor with 8/16 GB RAM. Its graphics processor is either Intel HD Graphics 520 or NVIDIA GeForce Graphics Processor.
This device offers an 8 MP rear and 5 MP front cameras in case you prefer to use it as a tablet. Official stated that the Surface Book has up to 12 hours of battery life with continuous video playback.
The laptop is running on Windows 10 Pro and it comes with Surface Pen in the box.
The Surface Pro 4 is the direct successor of Surface Pro 3, no doubt. It offers a 12.3-inch PixelTouch display with the resolution of 2,736 x 1,824 pixels.
It is powered by 6th generation Intel Core M3, i5 or i7 processor based on user preferences.
There’s an 8 MP rear camera and 5 MP camera on the front. It is able to last up to 9 hours of video playback, official claims.
The Microsoft Surface Pro 4 is running on Windows 10 Pro and comes with Surface Pen in the box too.
The premium Surface Book will be retailed from USD1,499 (approx. RM6,462), while the Surface Pro 4 will cost USD899 (approx. RM3,875).
Both surface devices will be available for preorder in select markets on October 7 and officially go on sale on October 26 in select markets.
