Since the month of August we received a lot rumors and speculations about the LG V30. LG V30 is finally announced in IFA 2017.

LG V30 features a 6.0″ QuadHD+ (2880×1430) all-screen OLED FullVision display. The 18:9 display aspect ratio trim the device down and allow to perform higher screen to body ratio. The curved display is a flat OLED panel which curved by Gorilla Glass 5 for both front and back.

LG decided to drop the secondary screen that came along with the V10 & V20. As the result V30 is now looks better compare to its sibling LG G6.

LG V30 is now the lightest 6.0″ smartphone with overall thickness of 7.3mm thin and it weighs 158g. While being thin, the LG v30 is dust and water resistant with an IP68 rating. In addition, as surprise factor, the device meets durability requirements of US Department of Defense by passing 14 categories of MIL-STD 810G Transit Drop tests.

Under the hood, LG V30 is powered by Snapdragon 835 processor mated to 4GB of RAM & 64GB UFS 2.0 storage which is expandable via microSD upto a whooping of 2TB. Another variant called V30+ comes with 4GB RAM and 128GB of UFS 2.0 storage.

At the imaging compartment, V30 features a combination of Dual Rear Camera of 16MP camera with a primary f/1.6 Crystal Clear Lens f/1.8 lens, OIS, EIS and Hybrid AF assist which uses Laser AF and PDAF; a secondary of 13MP f/1.9 unit with wide angle that promises 2/3 less edge distortion when compared to the V20. The Finger Print Scanner is located at the bottom of the Rear Camera.

While at the sound department, V30 gets a HiFi Quad DAC that’s tuned by B&O Play. That mean you will get a set of B&O Play earphones. For music enthusiasts, LG retained the 3.5mm Audio Jack.

LG V30 fueled a 3,300mAh battery which supports QuickCharge 3.0 via USB Type-C which is rated to do 0-50% charge in 30 minutes. Out of the box, the device runs of Android 7.1.2 Nougat which is expected updatable to Oreo later this year.

LG V30 will go one sale in South Korea this September 21. V30 will be available in Aurora Black, Cloud Silver, Moroccan Blue and Lavender Violet. The device yet register in our SIRIM data based. We received no word when it will hit our shore
