LG G6 Plus announced: Boasts 6GB RAM, 128GB storage plus new color choices

LG G6 has been one of the most sought after flagship smartphone launched in 2017. However, users wanted more in term of specs from this flagship model. Hence, the existence of the LG G6 Plus that has just been introduced today.

LG has added extra RAM and storage to the existing LG G6, thus we will be getting a bumped up memory that consist of 6GB RAM and 128GB of storage compared to the LG G6 which only provides 4GB RAM and 64GB ROM combo. Additionally, the device also features high-resolution audio through the headphone jack and B&O Play headphones in the box.

Updated features added to the LG G6 Plus will also be received the standard LG G6 such as Faceprint, a security feature that LG claims is “more convenient to use than existing facial recognition technology.” Both G6 and G6 Plus users will be able to unlock their devices by holding them up to their faces, without the need to press any buttons.

Apart from that, a new feature called Low Power Consumption is designed to improve battery life and reduce latency while using third-party apps.

Furthermore, you will be prompted with Covered Lens warning whenever your fingers start to stray in front of the camera while snapping photos.

Its other specifications remain unchanged, which might disappoint major LG fans as the company decided to stick with the slightly outdated Snapdragon 821 SoC instead of the latest Snapdragon 835. The main specs on board include the 5.7-inch QHD+ display with rounded corners, the dual 13MP cameras, and 3,300 mAh battery.

What’s more? LG has thrown in new colors to increase the choices for consumers who are getting tired of the dull looking White, Black or Silver model. The latest inclusion of “Marine Blue” and “Terra Gold” will surely attracts more consumers especially the younger generation.

Lastly, the retail price and availability dates for the G6 Plus have yet to go official. We will keep you updated once LG make an official announcement about them.
