J.D. Power’s latest smartphone satisfaction rankings: Apple took first prize

 

Customer satisfaction is very important because it’s the best indicator of consumer repurchase intentions and loyalty. However it is not easy to estimated as every customer has different demand. There is a pretty solid rating system which created by J.D. Power. (A global marketing information services company which leads in consumer insights, advisory services and data and analytics )

The customer satisfaction rankings based on five factors which are performance, ease of operation, battery, physical design and features.Besides, the study also based on experiences evaluated by 7,994  customers of one of the five Tier 11 wireless carriers who  have used their own current smartphone for less than a year between October and December 2016.

 

Apple get the highest score at 840 points on a 1,000 scale,  followed closely by Samsung with the 839 points . There is just a slight difference in score between them. On the other hand, total scores of Motorola and HTC have increased and standing at 824 and 817 respectively now. LG comes in last, with only 810 points.

Customers who owned a smartphone with the operating system (OS) of iOS have slightly higher incidences than customers who owned an Android on smart thermostats (13% vs. 11%, respectively); smart appliances (9% vs. 8%); and voice-activated home assistants (7% vs. 6%).
