Huawei unveiled Honor 7X with 18:9 screen

Huawei’s Honor just unveiled Honor 7X in an event in China. Interestingly, this is the first 18:9 aspect ratio Honor smartphone. Honor 7X comes with a 5.93-inch edge-to-edge slim bezels display. The display resolution is at 2160 x 1080 pixels. It features a unibody aluminum chassis.

The Honor 7X is powered by the octa-core HiSilicon Kirin 659 SoC. The processor has four Cortex A53 cores clocked at 2.36GHz and four A53 cores at 1.7GHz. It is paired with Mali-T830 MP2 graphics. The smartphone includes a 4GB of RAM and 32GB, 64GB or 128GB internal storage. It also has a microSD card slot.

Honor 7X sports a 16MP main camera with a 2MP secondary one. There is an 8MP selfie camera on the front. The fingerprint sensor is located at the back. Unfortunately, it still retains the older microUSB charging port instead of USB-C port. It runs on Android 7.0 Nougat + EMUI 5.1 out of the box.

The Honor 7X will go on sale in China on October 17 and will start from CNY 1,300 (around RM834) for the 32GB version. 64GB is CNY 1,700 (around RM1090) and the top 128GB model is CNY 2,000 (around RM1283). The phone is available in three color options: Aurora Blue, Gold, and Black.
