HTC U ULTRA Officially launched: Added a second screen but headphone Jack is gone!

So after various of rumors, the HTC U ULTRA has finally hit the stage.

The U Ultra packs a 5.7-inch screen and Sense Companion in a high-gloss chassis. In terms of specs, the U Ultra sports a 5.7-inch QHD display with a secondary portion on top, which had been introduced by LG on LG V20. Under the hood, there is a Snapdragon 821 which consider outdated for this year flagship device. There are 4GB of RAM and 64GB/128GB storage versions with microSD for expansion.

In terms of camera, the U Ultra has a 12MP UltraPixel unit with large 1.55µm pixels behind an f/1.8 lens with OIS. On the front you’ll be getting a 16MP shooter, which will also output 4MP images for the UltraPixel-nostalgic among you.

HTC U ULTRA comes with 3,000mAh of battery capacity and Type-C USB port. With this little amount of battery capacity, we doubt that the U ULTRA can last for a day with only one charge. Surprisingly, HTC decided to remove the headphone jack after iPhone 7 which is a flaw that bother many of the phone users.

The U Ultra will be available globally this quarter, which is not particularly specific. Price will be $749 (roughly RM3,343) in the US. Again, HTC is taking a very bold step to survive.
