CES 2017: Asus Zenfone 3 Zoom features dual camera with 0.03 second Autofocus!
Asus has announced its new generation Zenfone Zoom series smartphone which is known as Zenfone 3 Zoom at CES 2017.
Many consumers are aware that Zenfone Zoom lineup features optical zoom for its camera, best of all it is offered now with dual-lens setup that allow the camera to capture bokeh pictures that blurs the background of your pictures while keeping the subject in focus.
The main drawbacks of the new Zenfone 3 Zoom is that it can only zoom in 2.3X instead of the 3X optical zoom provided by the first gen Zenfone Zoom.
Specifications wise, this device offers a 5.5-inch 1080p display covered with Gorilla Glass 5 that is powered by Snapdragon 625 SoC and a massive 5,000 mAh capacity battery. Its body depth is 7.83mm and weighing in at 170g.
There’s a 12 MP wide-angle 1/2.5″ unit with f/1.7 aperture and Sony’s IMX362 sensor, while the other is a 12 MP lens with optical zoom. Both sensors have 1.4nm pixels. It also features OIS and EIS along with 4K video capture.
Autofocus time is claimed to be speedy 0.03 seconds with the help of the Dual Pixel phase detection, laser, and continuous focus onboard.
It will be running Android 6.0 Marshmallow natively, and the pricing and other configurations will be unveiled on a later stage.
