Asus Zenfone AR officially launched in Malaysia, priced at RM3799

Asus Zenfone AR, the world’s first 8GB RAM smartphone has officially stepped into the local market today. This device was first showcased at the CES event this year and managed to caught the crowd’s attention for being the first smartphone to offer Tango and Day Dream capabilities.

Specifications wise, the ASUS Zenfone AR equips with 5.7-inch Quad HD Super AMOLED display, Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 processor, up to 128GB of storage capacity, 3300mAh battery and the phone runs Android 7.0 Nougat OS out of the box.

ZenFone AR features three cameras on the back: the main camera is 23-megapixels with OIS and 4K video recording support, whereas the two cameras are meant for depth sensing and motion tracking. It has an 8-megapixel shooter on the front.

The official retail price of the Zenfone AR is RM3,799 which is out of our expectation to be higher than Samsung Galaxy S8+. Asus official claims that is will be officially available in our market this Friday and they are also offering 1 to 1 warranty exchange warranty for the Zenfone AR.
